With the first laugh of a baby, a fairy is created. This fairy became Prilla, a Never Fairy. All fairies have a talent, but Prilla can't figure out what hers is until tragedy happens in Neverland. Mother Dove's egg is destroyed by a hurricane and Prilla and her friends must go on a quest to have the dragon breath life into the egg again. Prilla finds her talent when they find the dragon has tricked them and she must save Mother Dove and Neverland.

When Martine arrives at Sawubona, the wildlife reserve and sanctuary, she learns there are many secrets she will need to uncover before learning what her father meant and learning why a village elder said she has the gift and why the tribesmen say there will be a child who will ride a white giraffe and have power over all animals.

You will love the black and white illustrations by Serena Riglietti in this story about Boy, who works for a magician doing odd jobs and cleaning up. One day, the puppet is missing and the puppet show cannot go on. Boy must go to The Land of Story to find the St. George puppet, but he encounters many of the traditional fairy tales along the way. The old woman who lived in a shoe, Jack, and little Red, among others. The Magician's Boy is a chapter book, but younger readers will be able to handle the reading. The boy triumphs in the end by finding the lost item, but he also gets something for himself!

In The Lost Hero, Jason wakes up on a bus on a field trip to the Grand Canyon with out a memory of who he is or what he's doing there. Everyone on the bus has memories of him except their teacher. As the students arrive for the tour of the Grand Canyon, Jason, his girlfriend Piper, his best friend Leo, and their teacher Coach Hedge find themselves locked out on the bridge over the canyon, being attacked by strange creatures of the winds. Jason and his friends get whisked off to Camp Half-Blood and find themselves bound together on a quest to return Jason's memories, find Piper's dad, and save the world.

Mibs is convinced her savvy can save her father, so she hitches a ride on a Bible bus along with several other kids to get to her father. Along the way, she finds her savvy is much more than she ever thought.
