After reading Recycling by Gail Gibbons, we will discuss the following questions as a class:

What can be done to reduce the amount of garbage we produce?

How are we going to inspire the students in our school to help us?

Who is a Community Helper that can help us with our plan?

*Note for the teacher: It's a good idea to take notes during this activity. Using an SmatBoard could add an interactive element. Post these notes in the box below. Kids can then refer to the notes in a later activity.

Read each one carefully, you will be asked to choose one of the R's to become an expert in!
