Most of the following websites were referred to on the Teacher Corner or Home page. I have placed them below and added some others to have as a quick reference if needed.
This site is awesome! It has everything from project ideas to information on recycling and the environment. It would be a great site look at before beginning a unit on recycled art and would also be a great site to share with your students
This site is about a trash art contest. It's a local contest so most wouldn't be able to enter but I really liked the ideas on the site. A teacher could use this site to create a contest like this one in their district.
This site gives all sorts of facts about recycling. I think that its important to not only teach the students about creating art but also use it as an opportunity to promote recycling. This site give a lot of great facts and even has a guide for fund raising.
This is a link to a Google doc. It would be a great packet to print for each student. It's filled with word finds, cross word puzzles, games and crafts.
This site allows you to find project ideas based on the items you have, such as things to do with old garden hoses. There are no step by step instructions but there is enough to get you going.
Crafts for kids using recycled materials such as cardboard, egg cartons, toilet paper and paper towel tubes, yogurt containers, jars, plastic containers, and tons more
