Many photographs and posters from World War II also help to educate us as to what life was like during this conflict and era. Images can indeed be more powerful than words.
While the men were out on the front lines abroad, women worked in the factories at home, producing war supplies. This poster helped to recruit and encourage women to take on what had up until then been a nontraditional job for women.
