Poetry

Teachers cannot forget the importance of poetry in the classroom.  Poetry helps children capture real emotions of different experiences because it mirrors life and adds new dimensions to life itself.  Learning about the different elements of poetry: rhythm, rhyme and sound, imagery, figurative language, shape, and impact will help the teacher select the best poetry for the students to read in the classroom.

Nonfiction

The illustrations are an important part to nonfiction books. Here are a list of three nonfiction books on the Solor System.
