Marshall Buddy Program

The Marshall Buddy Program is a mix of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students coming together to be a buddy to a student with special needs.  In this program, students without special needs learn how to work with students that have special needs. The Marshall Buddy Program meets during Empower Hour Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The Buddy Program has numerous goals.  Ultimately, the goal is to have students build relationships with eachother.  These relationships promote acceptance and understanding of one another.  Everyone has challenges they must face in life.  Our goal is to help kids understnd the complexieties of these challenges and accept each other.  As a result of these relationships, other benefits of the program are positive leadership, social skills and empathy skills just to name a few.
