Hero Scavenger Hunt

This activity encourages you to find heroes that are all around you. A hero or heroine might be a grandparent, a public service employee like a firefighter or police office, a teacher, a character from a book, etc... The possibilities are endless. During the summer, find 3 heroes and take your picture with each of them or with something that represents them, such as a statue or a book. Make a scrapbook page (paper or digital) with your 3 hero pictures and a short explanation of why you consider each of them to be a hero.

Create Your Own Superhero

An interactive tool to create your own superhero online. Follow the instructions given on the Marvel website.

Comic Creator

Create your own comic strip with this interactive tool from Read Write Think. If you need inspiration for your own comic, view popular comics using the links found on this page, or use the comic planning tools provided at Read Write Think.
