The sheer volume of primary source documents contained in one disc make this a valuable source of information.

In this book the author, Lisa D. Schrenk, discusses the influence that the Chicago World’s Fair of 1933 had on modern American architecture. The fair was named “A Century of Progress Exposition” to showcase the progress of the last century and introduce new ideas. Many of the architectural styles at the fair focused on new design solutions that moved away from the traditional structures of the time. The books contains descriptions of the buildings as well as photographs and illustrations from this, the second of Chicago’s two world’s fairs.
