PDF: The Pan-American Exposition by Isabel Vaughn JamesThis booklet is volume six in the Adventures in Western New York History series published by the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society between 1960 and 1982. The original intent of the series was, in part, to provide a resource for schools and any historical analysis contained in this 16 page resource cannot be considered critical. However, for one of the lesser-known world’s fairs in the US, the booklet gives a general overview of the circumstances and motivations that led to the Pan-American Exposition and the thinking behind its aesthetic appearance. The booklet includes 13 black and white photographs and a map of the grounds.
