* This Professional Development opportunity starts out with a day and a half "intensive" to familiarize the teachers with their new equipment. Teachers will be introduced to their new laptops with the help of tutorials and the hands-on guidance of the media specialist and tech specialist (see "introduction" tab). After day 1 teachers will be asked to take their new computers home to explore the new computers. In the morning, teachers share what they discovered with the group. Later, the media specialist will introduce topics in social media.

After the introduction day, this group of teachers meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month to touch base about using social media in the classroom.
