What is a wardrobe, and why are wardrobes and make-up important?

Makeup and wardrobes are used in Hollywood productions and are equally as important in  low budget amateur films.  The wardrobe and makeup help to tell the story and provide clues about the personalities of the actors.  Makeup and wardrobes can enhance your movie, so it is very important that appropriate wardrobes and makeup are used in your films.

Activity Center

Applying makeup properly requires practice, practice, and more practice.  Once the script is ready to go, you need to meet with the director and producer and talk with them regarding the characters for the film.  Once decided, you will need to find out what type of makeup needs to be applied to each of the actors.  Will there be some actors with special effects makeup?  Practice makeup design on yourself, your friends, and family members.  Upload before and after pictures of your work to this page.
