Hi Parents!
Sir Ken Robinson has a long and distinguished career in the arts. In February 2006 he was an invited speaker at TED, a non-profit group that pursues "ideas worth spreading." TED has been going strong for almost 30 years and holds annual conferences bringing people together from technology, entertainment and design, hence TED! This winter they were in Madison for a mini-conference. Please view his video by following this link: Ken Robinson: Schools kill creativity .
As we prepare for Parent-Teacher Conferences, this should help us realize that there is more to intelligence than the subjects we grade. Enjoy.
Through November and December, we will be reading The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis.
