A wonderfully illustrated picture book based "This is the key of the Kingdom" from the 1955 Oxford Nursery Rhyme Book. The illustrations are a combination of scratchboard and watercolor. The story unfolds with the little girl finding a key to the house. The pictures are black and white and new objects are introduced yellow is used until the climax showing the starry night over the city. The story soon returns to the little girl in bed with the yellow moon shining in.

The illustrations by Carle in this classic and favorite book, intrigue young children and the sing-song words are flow beautifully that even older children can remember, what's next years after having the story read to them.

This wordless book shares the story of a fox who decides to take a little white chicken. Bear, Rabbit and Rooster try to save this little chicken by chasing after them for what seems to be forever. However, this fox is not a villian. This is a great love story, and a must for anyone with children. The pictures in this book greatly depict the story being told.
