Tikki Tikki Tembo is a traditional Chinese tale that describes the problem with the tradition of the long name for the first born son of a Chinese family. Tikki tikki tembo-no sa rembo-chari bari ruchi-pip peri pembo falls into the well and his brother, Chang, tries to tell people. Unfortunately, because of the length of his name, help is a long time in coming.

This traditional tale of Lon Po Po (Granny Wolf) has been passed down through through ancient oral traditions in China. This story differs from the European and American story of Little Red Riding Hood as three daughters are left home alone when their mother goes to visit Po Po on her birthday. At night fall the children are visited by their Po Po, who is really a wolf dressed as their granny.
