How the Battle Played Out

Student Example of Battle

Click on the picture above to watch how students used Legos to reinact the Battle of Trafalgar.  This movie shows that if kids can work with something they love to complete an assignment, they will go above and beyond.  To make a movie such as this, each of the boat and alll of the people are moved a little and a picture is taken.  This process repeats itself hundreds of time and then needs to be linked together.  Nicely done!

Along with ship to ship battle, there were also battles on board with hand held weapons.  Soldiers boarded the enemies ship and used weapons such as the Boarding Sabre, the Blunderbuss Flintlock Pistol and the Deluxe Flintlock Blunderbuss.  Another gun that was often used was the musket.  It is said that a bullet from a musket hit Nelson, knocking him to the deck where he broke his back.  He later died from his injuries.
